Socket size

Most I have seen use a 3/4″ socket. I prefer 6 pt. I replaced my lug nuts recently with solid ones, the old ones had some sort of chrome plating pressed on and it would wrinkle with a 12 point socket to the point it could not easily be removed… Previous owner had apparently used a 12 pt socket often enough that I had to drive a 6 point socket onto two of the 10 lug nuts to get them loose. BTW a 19mm is a dead ringer for 3/4 if you have one of those you would prefer to use.

We think they are either a 3/4 or 13/16 and it will require either a thin wall or 12 point socket.

I have one also, but it is thick-walled (for impact tools). Wont fit my shooter wheels, the nut opening is pretty confined. Ditto for my wifes Accord.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200

Old timer not sure who yours is made by but the one I purchased works great on my my shooters. Just repadded.and I used it then. By the no impacts on nothing I own. Hand torque only. Cant remember if I purchased from Mac or snap on. Several years ago after reading about it on here I bought the Gorilla Bar (handle extends) that comes with 2 or 3 sockets one being 3/4. They are thin walled and fit great in my claw wheels. Got it new on eBay for like $25. Is always in my truck.

I dont use impacts either for wheels. But the double-socket I have was made for an impact wrench / tire shop operation. Impact sockets are generally much thicker walled than regular sockets so that they dont split / crack when being hammered. I think mine is Snap-On.2008 Pantera Classic2014 Mercury Pro XS 200
