Topic: South La Bass Tournament

September 26th my inlaws and friends of the Dugas family will be putting on the 8th annual Jacob Dugas Memorial Tournament in Stephensville, La @ Dorions Landing all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society . First place should take home about $5000. There will be door prizes and free jambalaya for fishermen . Is it an hourly weigh in or is it a total weight.

It is a 5 fish total weight and depending on participation it usually pays about 10-13 places

This would be a good pre-fish tournament for those interested in fishing the Open out of the Basin in November. This is a very competitive tournament with generally 100-150 boats. I have fished it several times and it is a well put on event. Unfortunately I will be in Turnaround mode for this one but it would be a great experience for anyone interested in coming down and trying thier hand. Hey I just wanted to add in that Mark Manendez should be at the tournament doing the announcing and signing autographs. I know he is not a Bass Cat man but he is a incredible guy who has been through a lot and really helps us out. Thanks .
