Thanks for the insight, it takes up a lot more room in the rod locker then I was thinking it would. So I am still open to storage ideas.I have put it in the drivers side rod locker with a foam pad between it and the paddle/pushpole stuff piled on top. The rod tubes are still usable, but its tight.I would leave it in the truck like most recommend, (my truck is actually bigger and wouldnt require me to put it on the roof ) but the lakes I fish the most require that I tilt the gas motor up, and use the trolling motor to ease though some tight stuff. If the motor fails or I break the shaft, it takes more energy than I have to push pole it back through.
