Take it back to the shop and have them put it back to stock. Looks like you were better off there. Sounds like he put some serious progression in and also rolled the leading edge of the prop up. That rolling of the leading edge is where you got the better hole shot and midrange from, but as you see it kills the top end. I had my old temptest tuned like that for running around in the marshes down here. It is certainly fixable, just needs to be re-tweaked. It probably has alot better midrange lift as well, which is a characteristic I like in a prop. Somewhere in the middle may be what you are looking for. Just be very forthcoming with your prop man on what you are looking for in your prop. Dont tell him what to do to the prop, just tell him what you want it to do and let him work it for you. Give him very accurate numbers such as Rpms at given speeds and time to plane and Top speed #s. He will tell you if you are asking too much or not. Give him another shot to make it right.
