Hi. I have a 2006 Sabre with a 150 Optimax. The speedometer in the dash doesn’t work. Any suggestions on getting it working again?

HA!
Funny guy on a Sunday afternoon. There is probably debris in the nose cone of the motor if I were to bet. I have never had a boat that the speedo worked correctly anyway. that’s what the graph or phone apps are for man.
I have had a 98 Jag, 2011 Sabre FTD, 2014 Eyra, and a 2016 PII. Speedometer never worked on any of them!
LOL!!!! I’m sure with a little troubleshooting I could fix it. I just use the HB for GPS speed.
Let us know what fixes it for you.
Most likely blockage will be right here. Can be cleaned out by using a small drill bit by hand. Though a word of caution if you drill to deep your in trouble. Itis imperative to only drill using your fingers only only go a 1/4″ or so. You can feel the wood it will be soft. If it feels unusual hard stop!!

I don’t think that this is even being considered because each “depth finder” these days includes GPS with speed readout. Every boat that leaves the factory probably has this optional electronics included. So……problem already solved.
Yes look at the graph if it’s capable to do it. It’s more accurate anyway. NOW, on the other hand, if your water pressure meter stops working, get that checked immediately.
