Steering tilt?

My 03 Cougar has steering tilt on it and this thing has a little slack in it. Is there a way to tighten up a bolt, nut or screw to eliminate this slack? Jay

They have a bit of play in the helm, and you may be able to tighten it some by slipping the boot back and accessing the pivot bolts. Most have more play than is expected, though Teleflex did tighten the helms up some in more recent years. BCB
