There is a tad bit of play in the tilt knuckle on the tilt steering. The tilt steering on hydraulic was developed for BCB and we were the first to offer and use it on Teleflex. Just like we were the first bass boat company to use Kevlar 1500 pound hoses when the others were using 100 pound polyester hoses.
The standard helms are easier to turn, have less play and are not adjsutable. So with the positive is anegative.
We have continuously worked to improve the knuckle and will in the future.
For now, check the tension on the bolts which hold it together and move on if it is just a smudge.
