I bought anti-slip material the kids put on their skateboards. Got a good size sheet for under $10 years ago. I bought one with a cat on it that matched colors of boat and cut to size. With the left over I created a foot pad in front of the passenger seat on my 07 Classic. Both have held up very well and look/work good. I actually learned about the idea on the forum. Its a peal and stick application.

I also bought a roll of the anti skid tape, like the material used on the trailer fenders. 2 inch width, 3 strips cut to size, cost about 5 dollars. 3 seasons with no problem. You can see it on the bow of my P2
