stubborn water stains on new 2023 Pantera classic

Hello, in addition to the water stains on the dark color of boat that are extremely hard to get out, I noticed a section on the side that has a off white stain on side of boat that turns shiny when I wipe with a damp rag, then comes back when dried. The boat is on a covered lift , and I use a cover when  I leave the boat.  Is this common, and what can I do to correct , and keep from happening? A damp  micro cloth rubbed hard still doesn’t correct. Should the boat be waxed as soon as I received delivery? I know I have asked a lot of questions, so if anybody can answer any, it will be appreciated.

I use hot sauce boat spray for my boat and truck, it’s the best stuff I have found for water spots. You can get it at academy sports, tackle warehouse, bass pro or Amazon. Basscat has some stuff in the store that does pretty good too.

Hello and thanks for the reply,  have you ever dealt with a chalky like film or stain on a 5 month old boat, this area gets no sun?  Have you ever used hot sauce on a chalky looking spot?   Thanks again.

I haven’t had any chalky spots but use that hot sauce of dang near everything. Maybe your cover is damp or has some kind of substance on it. I would get with your dealer on the chalky spot, maybe if you can post a picture someone might be able to help you diagnose it. Basscat backs their products so if there is something going on with the gel coat they will probably make it right. Sometimes oxidation can be chalky looking but if the boat is that new it shouldn’t have any.
