stuck caliper bolt

OK,,,, trying to replace my seals and bearings on a 08 trailer. The dang top caliper bolt is rounded off and stuck like chuck. Whats the best way to get this thing out in such a small area to work?  Glad this is in my garage and not on the highway .  WoWza , this is a pain in the you know what.  lol  Sprayed it down with liquid wrench. I wish there was enough room to get a drill in there and just drill it out.

Im going to go get a set of extractors here in a little while. If that doesn’t work , do you think cutting the head off with a sawsall or grinder would give me enough room to move the caliper out so that i can drill it ?

Hmm. You’re kinda in a pickle. Problem is the caliper slides over the rotor and then the bolts are inserted. Just removing the head still wouldn’t allow you to remove the caliper to get at the bolt. One thing you might want to try on that bolt if you can get something on it or are able to drill it is heat it first before you put a lot of pressure on it. They use loctite on these and if someone put permanent loctite on it that’s the way to remove it. You have to heat it. If it’s removable loctite heat will not hurt anything.

got it out enough to cut it off with a grinder and then used an easy out on the caliper.  That was the biggest pain the you know what. I could only imagine trying to do this on the side of the highway. The bolts have lock washers why the need for red loctite is beyond me.
