If your spending a few days around Branson and that’s the goal, then we would launch at Moonshine and work around there. The better option is Kimberling City and mid lake around the bridge. That’s in on 76 highways through Branson West and gives you reach to both forks with main lake for those morning top water Fish and drop shot. It would all depend on how much time your spending around Branson area and what your other plans are.

Go to ozarkanglers.com, click on forums, click on Table Rock. ANY reports from Bill Babler are GOLD! Bill is local guide, and his info is spot-on. Right now, the best bite is on drop shot, jig. Bill posts on a regular basis, his post from a couple of days ago detailed exactly what he is fishing and how deep. You might also check YouTube for video reports from Focused Fishing (guide Eric Prey), and others. I am amazed how honest the reports are from both of these sources. Good luck, I would plan on fishing as soon as I could see to about noon. The heat is pretty stout right now, plus the boat traffic will get stupid. If yournat Big Cedar then you have other options for launching. State Park is one that works well and is a little closer. Moonshine is at the Dam.

I agree with Bass Cat, State Park is a great ramp, along with Moonshine Beach. You also might want to check out the site hooked on bass. com. Pete is a local guide and like the others his information is spot on. If you are good with drop shoting, it is the deal right now, however the topwater bite can be very good some days, and then some days its not. But have a pole with a top water lure on and ready to go, because when they start coming up, it is a lot of fun. The best thing about this area is that you are not limited to Table Rock. Tanneycomo, and of course Bull Shoals are both very close and either can produce big very quickly. As previously mentioned, boat traffic, especially on the main lake will get crazy, and I too when I am on the lake get off it way before noon. Make sure you have plenty of fluids and lots of sunscreen. You will need both.

Bass suspend around forage schools st Table Rock during the hot summer days. The best fishing is at night. Try a football head with a 10-12 inch worm. Bo James at NuTech Lures makes a great head for that tactic.Wizard

Where are you staying, are you staying on the lake? We are looking for a lake to stay on this week. We were originally headed to our annual trip to Tennessee to fish and visit family but looking at something closer. Does anyone know if Lake Ouachita have Home’s to rent on the water? Everything I see is on Lake Hamilton. I need a lake that’s good for fishing but also enough stuff nearby for the wife, daughter, and sons girlfriend to do during the day.
