Taking Bow Engine Trim/Tilt Panel Off?

There are 2 screws that hold the engine trim/tilt panel onto the bow, but when I removed those screws the panel would not budge. Tried to slightly pry it to get it to move…and nothing. I don’t want to break anything or scratch/damage the glass so what am I missing? I will need to take this panel off in the near future to access the heading sensor for the Minn Kota trolling motor to remove it.

Going to be going with the 36V Ultrex Quest to replace the 24V Ultrex that came with my boat. The Quest TM has a built in heading sensor so I need to remove the current sensor so it can go with the 24V TM.

I do not know how your boat is, mine I have taken off.  The 2 screws is correct, they must be removed.  Yours might have a bead of clear urethane behind it to seal it up from water getting behind it, or maybe a gasket on that panel.  Get some of the plastic trim tools to use in order to work on it.  When in doubt, contact the customer service person at Basscat, it use to be Richard but he is somewhere else.  His office is next to Allen from Parts.  He should also be able to verify it.
