With the end of the TTT here in Texas there are alot of unhappy and just down right MAD Ranger owners!!! I have been reading alot of them looking into Skeeters for the Bass Champs circuit but several have mentioned Cats as well!!! If you got a friend with a Ranger pump up our family if you get the chance! I think some Texas Cat dealers will have a good year!!!!!ThanksDannyG

The demise of the TTT has been rumored for several years from inside of FLW Outdoors. They are not as strong as they would like in Texas, and are choosing to move that support to another area we understand. One where they are stronger. We remain somewhat strong for our size in Texas, and just need to keep doing our part. BCB

I WOULD NOT GET RID OF MY 521 FOR NO CAT. LOOK AT WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT BASSCAT IN THE BFL SUPERTOURNAMENT DOWN IN LOUISIANA. SKEETER&BASSCAT HEAD ON PRETTY BAD DEAL BASSCAT WAS SPLIT IN TOO. BOTH FISHERMEN AIRLIFTED TO THE HOSPITAL. SKEETER GUYS WERE OK LUCKLY.

Blinky, We have no knowledge of such an incident. We are aware of a another brand owned by a former BCB Owner which launched itself on a dike and the partner was severely injured. Though we have no knowledge of any such incident with a BCB.BCB

There is an article in the Morgan City, LA news regarding the bass boat accident. However, you have to be a subscriber to read the entire article. It did state that 2 people were airlifted by the coast guard. Can find nothing else on the web.Hope everyone fully recovers!

If this did happen, we would like to have more information and we find it odd that we have not heard of this. The angle of the impact is what would make the most damage. If the Skeeter ran over the BCB, then that hull would climb over the top. In the opposing fashion, then the bug boat would have more damage it the BCB ran over the top deck. We have assisted in many accident investigations and the boat angles, over & under and more effect this. Head to head, nose to nose, straight up, we would not have any concerns on damage. Though we would not want to be riding in that one!BCB

It does not matter what boat you are in if you end up on the bottom. I have seen a Ranger split in two also several years ago on Caddo lake. Guy in the Ranger died (skeg and prop got him). The gal that ended up on top had minor injuries and was in a Ranger also. Both were in a tournament.ElwoodElwood…..Bass Cat Proud
