Yes I would love to hear some suggestion also there got to be a easier route than the smart craft . A little cheaper also. I love the black motor but geesh. I agree on having the monitor too. I will say though that you can save yourself some $$ by installing it yourself. It is not that difficult to do. Just take your time and get a friend to assist you and take them to lunch when done. Everyone should believe in something. I believe Ill just go fishing!

get it here all day long, then you just have to figure out were to put it, have it on my Pantera 3 w/ 2004 optimax and have it set to show the psi by default and when you hit the trim up or down it shows the trim level for a few seconds then reverts back to the psi. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercury-Mercrui … 0504957155

Place to put it. Simple should fit right in where the speedo is. Who needs that anyway the one thing Im interested in WATER TEMP. Im being told just because u smart craft doesnt necessarly mean u can read water temp. this is a chart i found, i can see oil temp but not water temp on the monitor but according to the chart you need the full digital gauges and sensors for water temp. http://livorsi.com/catalog/smartcraft.htm

Bass Boat Central has some serious discussions about the Merc Monitor, the need for it, its many possible uses, and sourcing it from European Marine (a sponsor there) gets you what you need with a call in to the boss to walk you through the install.If I were not so upside down in the renovation of my PIII I would have one now. As it is, I might bite the bullet before the OI.
