Most are easily sold because they are really not in bad shape at all and pricing is aggressive but hardly free as the notion that their boats dont cost them is a complete myth. Kshort and Niggemeyers 2012 boats were both briefly listed on BCB for sale board.Most will have 200-300 hours but who cares with warranty?If you want one Im sure theyd be happy to discuss. Ive seen Kevins and its a helluva boat. Dual poles, dual simrads, 250 proxs and itll be in better shape than mine after 2013 is over.C.O.D. Jr. III

I cant speak for all the guys but I know I have seen several of the BassCat pro boats for sale on here and on impactfishing.com. Ive seen a few o the other brand boats for sale on other sights. I would imagine they post them in their local areas first and if they dont sell, then they start posting more publicly. Also, some “pre-sell” their boats. That way the buyer actually orders the boat he wants and at an agreed upon date the buyer gets a relatively new boat at a lower price. The above info is correct on the what the pros do with their boats. I can not speak for other pros. But I can speak for Kevin Short having fished from his boat. I could not tell it was 10 months old and being a pros boat. He keeps his stuff is tip top shape. I am not joking the care and pride he takes in his equipment is second to none. If one was to buy a pros boat Kevin Shorts would be one to look at. Him and Rick Clunn are the only ones I have ever seen cover their boat at night in the camp ground while at the tournaments. I am sure there is others But I can say that I have seen them do it. I fished with K. Short and the notion that the pros beat the hell out of the boats is not true to all of them. Again I am sure there are some that do and we know that there are. But K. Short is not one of them. I know there are others out there like K Short who take care and pride in the boat they fish out of. Its like the old saying a few bad eggs ruin the hole batch. K. Short is a hard fishing machine. But at that same time he takes care of his equipment. Some keep them longer than you think also. I know in 2011 Rick Morris told me that he was going to keep his boat and run it until it sank. Of course Steve Kennedy is running an old boat, but his story is a bit different. Im fairly certain it has been said that Mike Iaconelli kept 2 boats….one for filming his show and one tournament boat. Toledobasser I will totaly agree with you as I have too seen abuse of boats. I know K Pink does not abuse his. I would like to think their are more like him that value their equipment. And there are probaly more than I want to know who do abuse their rigs as some see it just as a tool rather than a boat that could make someone else very happy once they are finished fishing from it.

Many pro anglers work extremely hard to care for their boats, and use extends to 3 to 4 years of normal hours for many anglers. Then there are those who literally wear a boat out. Are they usable once a seasons over? Sure they are! Though no doubt some are hard on equipment. Pro anglers get significant discounts or product for these rigs and some of those savings are passed on with a pro rig. Some probably loose cash on their rigs as they we hard on them. The ranges are large and if your selective then you will either pay way less and know what you have, to paying a fair price for a pro rig and enjoying it for years.

I have J Crews 2010 boat and when i got it December 2012, it is in immaculant condition. I found 2 scratches and one nick on the bottom. I couldnt be happier. Actually think I was better off with his boat, because his boat was maintained by the Mercury staff at the tourneys, Hummingbird guys kept the graphs upgraded, and all the little bolt retightens have been kept up.

I got buddy that has a Terry Butcher boat. Its in great shape. Thats the pros office/best tool while on the water. And Im sur they may be hard on them but they also put in the upkeep.
