They ran a 2 for 1 sale on bass in Kansas City today!

Just thought Id share a nice catch with you all. Today I took my uncle fishing at Lake Remote (a small natural lake about 200 yards up a hiking trail above the spillway at Smithville Lake). The water was nice and clear and there was about 10 - 12 inches of thick hydrilla covering the bottom of most of the lake. Working an old pre-Rapala Storm Thunderstick just over the top of that yielded some nice results. In one instance, I nailed two at once! Thats happened to me a few times in Florida, but never up here. It was a hoot to reel them in. Pardon the bad quality of the pic-- I was trying to hold the fish and take the photo with my phone at the same time. Enjoy!God Bless,Scott

Both hard and soft plastic jerk baits have always had a place of prominence in my tackle box, as I find it easy to use them to locate fish and they will often force a predatory bite. onefishbill – Im pretty sure they were both largemouth, but between trying several times to get a good picture with my phone and getting them both off the lure, I actually didnt take much time to look that closely before I released them! I have caught a few spotted bass in that lake before, but their spots were very pronounced.Cheers,Scott
