Throttle/Gear Shift Control Cable

Been looking in the FAQ, and cant find. Does anyone know the throttle/gear shift control cable length for a PIV with a Mercury Opti? Also, recommendations on a quality brand will help as well. Had my shift control snap trying to shift out of reverse.- Chaz

Those are usually either 12 or 13 and the cable will be stamped
