tilt and trim noise

I have a 1991 150hp yammie pro v on my cat and the t/t started making a whining moan when tilting or trimming down but works fine when going up. Does anybody have any idea on this?thnxmark

Sounds like a check valve locking up in the hydraulics.BCB
