Ive got a headache looking thru posts...What is appropriate tire pressure for General Tires on a tandem axl trailer? Max pressure at max load on the tire indicates 44 PSI however I recall reading somewhere that max pressure isnt necessarily the best number. This is on a new Cougar FTD. Thanks for the help.
That sounds like a load range C tire. 44 psi is the right answer. If you go to a D or E tire, you can run somewhat below the max to improve tire wear pattern.
