Towing with an Expedition.

it was just trying to see around you. sounds like an airflow issue around the truck of course. I remember when riding motorcycles back in my younger (more ignorant) days, getting behind a semi or even on the side could make you feel real weird.

You may want to check the tongue weight. Too light can lead to some sway.

I dont see why it would make a difference. The Expy should tow it fine. Im wondering if its the hitch height. I think BCB recommends 18″. I wonder if the extra 2″ could be making a difference in transferring the weight, as capt.jerry mentioned above???13 PIV w/ 200 MercIG: WarriorRiverCustomRods

I dont know that it would make a difference I was just curious. I know when I was in the trucking industry, there were some companies that would raise their 5th wheel 2-3″ higher off the frame of the truck, to transfer more of the weight (granted most were tankers hauling liquid of some sort) to the back of the trailer, so they could haul more product. My friend towed mine multiple times with both of his Expeditions (2010 & 2014) with no problems to and from Toledo bend and Rayburn from Houma, and up to and around Mountain Home once. I do know that he uses a 2″ drop hitch just like I use on my F150.

Do you have a rear sway bar under the rear end? Does it or the front bar have a busted down link? How are the shocks?

I use a standard 2inch drop hitch on the Expedition and a 4.5 inch drop hitch on my lifted F150 on 35s. Checking the sway bars is my next idea, going to crawl under there tonight. I want to nail this down because the family enjoys the trip in the Expedition much more than the F150.
