Trailer Spindle

So a wheel came off today on the way home. The spindle is dinged up and I think needs to be replaced, I have an 08 Cougar FTD, is that be enough info for someone to be able to give me the spindle size?Thanks, James

It appears bass cat passed the buck on this one. The trailer was not purchased from UFP. This situation is similar to a part failing on a Ford, but they refer you to the vendor for any help! Out of character for BCB.

The answer he is looking for can be found by calling the factory, the board moderators are not a know all entity. Call 870-481-5135 and ask for parts and they will help.Your spindle can be replaced on a spring axle by a good welder and then have the trailer checked for alignment. Basscat didnt pass the buck. UFP makes the axles for the Basscat trailers. The trailers are built at the factory in Mountain Home but not all the components are built there.Like axles, tongue jacks, tires and wheels Etc.

Actually Ford would have sent you to the Ford dealership, and they would not have done it on a forum. The moderator did the best they could on a Sunday night.

Passing the buck, now with excuses. The moderator would have been more effective by telling him to call BCB and giving him the number. By the way, I have never been sent to the vendor by my car dealership.
