If your talking about the SI tranducer. It will not read depths at speeds. The in hull ducer(sonar) is the one you want for that. At least that holds true for my lowerance

Our thoughts are that your Transducer is mounted just below the actual transom, not the boat bottom. We believe that will work fine, though we also prefer less turbulence. If that is a dealer mounted item then they most likely would be able to mount them properly and operational. SI Transducers do not operate when on plane. They are good at lower speeds and the best pictures we find are between 1.8 and 3.5 MPH depending one screen settings, such as scroll speed.

Based on your comments it appears that there needs to be  more detail provided so that you can understand how your system functions.  BCB comments were very terse to put it mildly.  Your unit requires two transducers, the SI transducer mounted on the transom and a 2D transducer mounted in the boats bilge.  The 2d transducer shoots through the hull and is the one that provides depth and bottom readings while on plane.  It is generally thought of as the “conventional” sonar.  The cables for these transducers are routed to the console and are connected to your graph using a “Y” cable.  In this manner you can have SI capability as well as 2D.  My 2D transducer failed recently and I could not get readings on plane.  Replacement cured the problem.
