Trick Steps on Puma STS Trailer

I am curious if anyone has added the trick steps now available from the BC Store to their Puma STS trailer which already has the grab post.

With multiple electronic units on the bow the grab post is not as convenient to use as it was in the past when we had simple bow electronics.

I would like to hear from owners who have added the trick steps and pictures would be helpful.

I bought mine five years ago and love them.  Jim just add Trick Step to his Puma FTD that has a grab pole.  They work great together.  We fished together last Friday Saturday and the two (Trick-Step with pole and original BCB pole work great together.  It’s handy boarding and exiting from the side behind electronics.  You could have tried mine the other day if I knew you were looking.

I bought Trick Steps from BassCat for my 2024 Puma STS with the factory step and pole and the only thing that i don’t like is that i did not purchase them sooner.  To say I love then us an understatement.  The steps work in unison with the factory step and pole perfectly and make entry and exit to and from the boat very easy.  I no longer worry about tripping on the two graphs and trolling motor.  I prefer them to any steps i have seen.  I hope this is helpful.

Has anyone added the Trick Steps from the BC Store to their Puma STS trailer that already has the grab post? With multiple bow electronics now, the grab post isn’t as useful as it used to be. I’m interested in hearing from those who’ve installed the Trick Steps especially how they work with the existing setup. Pics would be great too!

Leopold, I installed Trick Steps on my 2023 Puma STS. Love them! I had (past tense) the factory installed grab post but did not like how it all worked with the trick step and my electronics (I have a NBT18, only, at the bow) so I had it cut off. Much MUCH better now, without it. It may be a sin to cut parts off a BassCat Boat or trailer but I just felt like it was more functional without it. It felt in the way and I was right…it’s much easier to use the Trick Steps without the BC grab post – to me at least.

I went ahead and installed the Trick Steps on my Puma STS  which also has the grab pole. I have a 12″ and a 10″ Humminbird on bow along with Mega 360 and Mega Live.

The combination of the Trick Steps and the grab post work great for me.

I thought you would like them.  Jim’s has the grab pole too and I found the 2nd post pretty handy for us old men.
