Thanks for everyones help I am going to decide tonight and order. What size shaft are you guys running I would imagine it is a 45 or 50. I think I have a 45 now maybe a 50 would be better for those rough days. Thanks again.

I have no experience but from what I understand its about 50% more accurate than the competition.

Ive been really curious about the XI5. My concern is whether it would be a suitable replacement for a cable steer TM when used primarily for bass fishing in heavy cover. I see it being invaluable in open water fishing, but is it going to provide the maneuverability you need in the stomps, pads, etc.?I look forward to hearing how your testing goes. Enjoy.

If the RPMs are good on top, then just lower it a smidge. As for the scratches, those we would think could be sanded out and polished. Not sure the source of the scratches though they can be cleaned up.

these are deep scratches caused by the top of the trolling motor when it is stowed. Looks like it is just mounted down too close and it rubs

We dont now how its mounted or if they used the factory mounting holes.

If its a new boat and dealer rigged the trolling motor Id let them see it. Though if you attempt the sand and buff be VERY CAREFUL! you will cut thru the gel. Sorry to hear about the scratches. On a side note, Im surprised to hear you are running a 26 on the caracal. I guess it is ones own choice but it was my understanding BCB is pushing them out of the factory with a 24 these days?

My 2015 has a 25 on it. Seems to run pretty well.

These scratches go through the gell coat already. Bought the boat in MN… Took 18 hrs to get there. Sure not bringing it back to let them see what they did. Didnt have a choice on the prop. Thats what was on it. Ive read that the standard prop was a 25 fury.

If the trolling motor was dealer installed then its only fair to have them take care of it. Send pics of the gel area in question with your hull Id number to Bass Cat. They should have the build sheet and any installed equipment that was done at the factory. So I gotta ask how you found a Caracal that far away with closer dealers?
