Trouble fishing a wire and stiff hand throttle now…
Reply Edit , || I have dual Power Poles with remotes, but I recently bought the foot controls for the bow. Well I was trying to fish the wires and its almost impossible (for me it was impossible). I tried starting from the front and going back and vise-versa. I also tried running it down the port and starboard side... Zero luck with any method. Everywhere there was an obstruction that I couldnt get around. I used both a light gauge and heavier gauge Fish Tape. Nothing worked. And to top it all off, when I fish it down by my hand throttle, I couldnt get past it. Now my throttle wont shift into gear nearly as smooth in forward. I really have to put a lot of pressure on it. How could a Fish Tape do that? And ideas on how I can fix BOTH problems now? I spent a good 2 hours. and the only thing I got out of it is a stiff throttle. I love running and fishing out of my Cat, but anytime I need to do anything to it, its a complete pain in arse!My CatI Am Second
The back of the control boxes are not closed any longer on all brands. Thus anything in that area could jam or force something into the control box. BCB

You should be able to pull the seat pan and reach the back of the shift handle. I had a similar problem but with a puma. The seat pan is heavy but easy to remove.
Are you trying to shift with the engine tilted in the trailering position? If so, this might be causing the shift cable to be in a bind. Running the fish tape through the vent hole if you arent already also helps get the tape to the console.
