Troubleshooting Anchor lights

Hello, I have a 2022 Cougar 203 Hybrid. It came equipped with power poles, and LED Anchor light on the poles. When I got it, the LED anchor light on the poles worked until it didn't one day. I tried to use the included pole at the anchor light connector as well, it did not seem to function either. Both were tested with the Anchor / Nav in the Both and just the Anchor position. Nav lights work fine. I have tried both the console panel, and the bow panel switch. The Anchor light wire seems hard to access for troubleshooting (routed behind the gas tank, not much slack.) Does anyone have a good suggested troubleshooting guide, or things to try before doing a massive tear down?

Whoever installed the anchor light on the power pole probably robbed the orginal anchor light and is the reason that light doesnt work. The anchor light on the power pole probably doesnt work because the connection is either bad or has come loose. Your first step should be to find the wires and inspect the connection. Good luck!

The Anchor Light on Power Poles is not always a USCG approved part, thus not all are technically legal. The added part probably was privately installed and used the existing wiring. Those are white and white with black wires for anchor and bow, plus a ground wire that is black. Look for those connections and see where it is compromised. Odds are it is very close to the existing rear anchor light base.
