Guys, I fished a tournament this last weekend and trashed the PII. Friday morning was a little foggy in spots so I was cruising about 30 mph on the main lake. I wasnt on plane as much as just pushing water to get across the main lake in front of the dam. I entered a patch of fog and hit something which launched the boat sideways a little hard. It was about then I came out of the fog and looked and realized the main lake looks like a logging operation gone wild. Be careful at the main lake around the dam south to the Osage river. Once I discovered the debris I turned around and got out of there. I did not think the boat was damaged since it still ran ok and I didnt feel any vibrations. Once back on the trailer I found a broken blade on the Trophy prop, not much left of the skeg, a whole bunch of gelcoat and some fiberglass missing on the bottom of the boat and when I changed the prop the prop shaft is twisted at the splines. I ran the tournament anyway and did not stray too far from the launch site. I dropped the boat off at Truman Fiberglass Repair and it looks like the damage will exceed $5k. Needless to say it wasnt any poor quality of the boat as it looks like what ever I hit has some steel in it to do the damage it did. I think a lesser boat would have leaked but this one didnt. Thanks BCB for a good sturdy product…..
