I wouldn’t hesitate in either. Believe the 4-stroke 175 makes a little more torque, so maybe a little better hole shot if you carry a heavy load though it also weighs ~50lbs more. So if planning to add power poles then the 2-stroke probably would keep the boat a little more balanced when fishing. The longer lower unit on the 175 4-stroke I think helps a little on top end driving stability, though I know speed isn’t a big deal to many. Just some things to consider, but don’t think you can go wrong either way. Do you happen to know what props are on the two as they have very similar gearing?
