Veterans Day 2016
We are now two (2) days after a major pivotal national United States election... Thank You to all the Veterans on your very special day. To those in our midst as BCB/YCB staff, our friends, our promotional staff, the customers, those dealers and the ones at large we dont know. Our freedoms are ours because you were willing to make the ultimate sacrifice. Then a very special Thank You to those families whos members made that ultimate sacrifice. Today few are left from WWII, more from Korea and Vietnam, and then a few from smaller conflicts in South America and elsewhere. Many were drafted in the pre mid 1970s and went without objection, without border crossing and served without a pardon for dodging a tumultuous conflict. To those who met the call with valor, we Thank You! Then we have a special place in all of our hearts for the all volunteer force post 911, that has served so well in Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq. We pray that we may through them, turn the tide of terrorism that hinders our normal and the world we desire. Our way of life is threatened by terrorist home grown from inside, and more so from external threats we see growing such as ISIS. These people amongst us work tirelessly to turn back all orts of threats to our society. There are many overseas still engaged in working to change our world with serious risks to their lives. Somalia is not a forgotten country, its just quiet and the military and intelligence community has a seemingly never ending task. It takes special people to meet the call to duty. For those that met that call we want to take a few moments to pray for safety of those still engaged, and to thank those who served in all capacities. Pray for a country undivided, where we all respect those that serve society and our fellow countryman. In is very special year, this very special Veterans Day, pray. We all have friends who served even if we didnt. I have been fortunate to have close personal friends that served against Rommel in Africa in WWII. Ive known many who served in the Pacific and European theaters. And a few who were at Pearl Harbor that December 7th morning. Many of my old fishing friends servd in Asian country conflicts, one of those that called in major air strikes on their own position. Something he seldom mentions and his own children will never probably know about. Last week I came across a veteran on the tram at DFW traveling with assistance, proudly wearing his WWII hat and I thanked him. Just like those meals we see bought today, for those serving now, in restaurants across our great country. Take time to show our appreciation for their service. Not only then when 911 was hot, though now! And now for Lou, Jimmy, Hugh, Mike, Herb, Chuck, Dick, Jerry, Jerry, Jamey, JD, Paul, Bob, Merle, Harold, Mac, Robert, Pete, Uncle Paul, Uncle Earl, Uncle Jim Bill, Uncle Hugh, Uncle Odie, those cousins I have that served proudly and those above that are no longer with us.Thank you to those Veterans and dont forget to thank a vet! God Bless America! Rick Pierce

Good post and thank you Vets!
Thank you for such a nice post BCB. I would also like to wish all of my fellow veterans a happy veterans day and make sure that each of you know that your time given to your fellow countrymen does not go unappreciated. My great grandfathers, grandfathers, Father, stepfather, brothers, and myself have all served and it is a tradition I am so proud of. Thank you all again for your service and wishing all of you a special day.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
Great thoughts Rick. I will add my own thanks to the many veterans and those still actively serving. We all owe you so much. A special thanks to my Uncle Ermy Bartlett who served in the US Army during WWII. He recently passed away and he is missed.
Great thoughts! Thank you to all our Vets!
Thanks Mr. Pierce! My wife and I went to lunch today at Olive Garden and it was free. Kinda funny, the young lady just handed me the veterans menu as I walked in. I didnt even realize they were offering free lunch to veterans but it meant a lot. I have a lot of veterans in my family and one family member currently serving as an Army Ranger. I worry about him but hes one tough young kid and Im very proud of him.
Well said sir, your appreciation is one of many reasons Im a proud owner of a Basscat. Happy Veterans Day to all, hooyah!Sincerely, MA2 Wheelock
Thank you for taking the time to write this . This is another reason why I will only own a Basscat. It was my pleasure to serve for 34 years.2015 Caracal
