Warranty questions

First post here, I have a 23 pantera 2. I haven’t been back to the dealer since I bought it. I was not impressed with the delivery day and several issues after that was the dealers fault. I’ve developed a leak in the livewell system. I’m going out tomorrow to check it again. I believe it’s coming from the recirculating pipe when I turn it on. Is that something that would be covered on warranty? I stopped by the dealer yesterday but the service dept was closed, they didn’t have any basscat signs or boats so I’m curious if they are still dealing them.  I also called basscat and they are closed till the new year.

It all depends on the cause of the leak. The canned answer is yes, but if they get into it and the part has been damaged, then no. Contact the Service bench at BCB and they can help you down the path, if your dealer no longer is servicing Bass Cat.

Check the housings, fittings on hoses and such. We’ve seen fitting stepped on, batteries dropped on them and more. Those incidences would not be covered. A seal leaking would be as would a loose hose, or a fitting separation on the CPVC spray bar.

I think it’s a fitting separation. I know they haven’t been stepped on or anything dropped on by me. Who knows what happens when they rigged it. It was a mess.
