The WCBCOI 2014 is over, We simply had a great time its that simple. The fact that dedicated Cat owners show up rain or shine make it all worth the work. After it was all said and done, the team of Lorenzo and John Rosetti took it again. These guys are THE team to beat! 1st Place Lorenzo and John Rosetti 2nd Place Travis Huckaby and Hunter Schlander 3rd Place Tom Lutz and Brandon Lum Myself and John Hennecke Jr. Working the flats More photos can be seen at:https://www.facebook.com/WestCoastBassC … vitational Steve “Gunz” Molina

I think you might get more rigs in June, July or August rather than later in September. Mid summer months, late June/July/August, are 40+ fish days and late September more like in the teens if you are doing good. Even late May is better, IMO? I made the first two but couldnt make this as had other commitments (not fishing) for that late in year. This is 3rd year and has been later each year, number of boats has gone down each time. There has to be a reason for that – maybe I am totally off base with the timing opinion? Great tournament again for the Rosettis and not sure with them any time of the year makes much difference – they always seem to do pretty good, more power to them.
Thanks for the comment its the same one many have made. Each July there is what we call the Jamborie to pick tournament dates in California. The northern part of the state meets in Rancho Cordova and the Southern half meets in Los Alamitos both in July. I have been unable to go to Northern meeting as of yet. Thus after the big boys do their picks we little guys get whats left. The list of rules for tournaments by the DFW is a bit long. I do work with a wonderful lady in the N. Calif. DFW who helps me allot in getting the dates I do get. Unfortunately I cannot just say I am going to go here and when, even clubs who hold tournaments by law are supposed to pull a permit. So I keep trying to do the the best I can. Welcome to California!!!!!Steve “Gunz” Molina
