Sherm and I took the BayCat out and ran it through the mill. The mill being Mobile Bay! The weather radio said it was going to be "smooth." Well...they were wrong. The Bay had probably 2-4 footers, the Gulf was maybe 3-6 footers. We ran about 1/3 the length of the Bay down to Fort Morgan, which is at the mouth of the Bay where it empties into the Gulf. We decided not to go out in the Gulf. We ran all the way back to the ramp and put it on the trailer. Then headed up to the Delta, launched again and finished the last 8 minutes of the break in! We caught several very nice specks, so I was able to put Sherm on fish!! We plan to head out today to test a Fury prop on the boat, if the thunderstorms dont stop us. No rain yet, but they are predicted. The BayCat handled the Bay as if it wasnt there, once we figured out the proper height for the jackplate and the trim, we could run 45-50mph on top of the 2-4 footers with little bouncing. Before Sherm and I figured out the settings...we did a lot of bouncing. All I can say is...WHAT A BOAT!!!! Thanks Rick and BassCat for yet again, making one awesome machine!!!!!!
