I have had my boat for less than a week and already had 2 people ask what i would sell it for. I would think any silver/ white or red/silver will sell. That silver BCB has is beautiful. I though about a custom scheme just like i would like but ivan did a good job of talking me out of it and convinced me it would be real hard to sell when i get ready for a new boat again. I like the colors i got but if i was buying one and was going to just keep it a year or a few years i would keep it simple and classy.
I actually watched PAs site for a while before I bought my Puma. It seemed like the same colors were the rigs that were on there a long time and were having to reduce the price. The tired browns and golds, or other darker earth tones that were popular a few years ago arent selling in used rigs anymore and they arent selling at all to the younger shoppers. You would do better with a white, silver or otherwise light yet classy base color with your choice of color for the inlay. The further south you are the more I would suggest a black boot just to avoid stains from the discolored waters. Food for thought, any highly visible options you incorporate help close the deal on resale. Sometimes the wheels might close the deal but Ive seen something as insignificant as a BCB sticker on the hull make a rig stick in someones mind. Just my 2 cents.http://www.justsayhi.com/bb/files/count … r=0&un=BCB OWNERS INVITATIONAL&size=normal&mo=03&da=27&yr=2007″ width=”250″ height=”80″>http://www.justsayhi.com/bb/files/count … r=0&un=BCB OWNERS INVITATIONAL&size=normal&mo=03&da=27&yr=2007″ />http://assets.justsayhi.com/badges/521/ … 57ol3i.jpg” alt=”” style=”display: none;” height=”1″ width=”1″ />
Whites and silvers work well because they match most peoples trucks. If you get something “off the wall”, most people will shy from it. Most guys want a boat that matches their trucks. White boats are like white t-shirts… they go with everything. Get a while hull and then use the bolt and cap to add your color.Andy Greene Greene Boat & Motor 828-286-2290 http://www.greeneboats.com
Whites and blues/ Silver, red, blacks/ Whites, reds, blacks/ I personally think a black boot is a must and will sell before a lighter colored boot. It just seems to catch the eye a little better. Chris Coupel Paulina, La.Chris CoupelPaulina, La.
My opinion is there no one color easier to sell than others. I also have the opinion that if a person is going to spend 30K-40K for a used boat they want to be seen as well. I know Im not about to run out there and spend that much money for a white boat with a silver trim stripe. Yes the color is safe and will match any tow vehicle, but theres one a few hundred miles away that has some color to it. I know of some silver / reds that have been on the market for a while, priced right, and still do not sell? Again, with all said, theres not one color any better than the other as long as its not purple and green or green and red!
Probably not this color………………… I guess its a good thing I dont plan on selling anytime soon………….. I would think a red boat would sell well. I see a LOT of red boats around.
