I bought a SCT tuner and had 5-star Performance (South Carolina) send me maps for it. I too have a 5.4 that was gutless, mainly because of the transmission. The 89-octane tow tune that I run gave my Mark LT a little UMPH! Sometimes, while passing, Ill look down, and realize Im 85 or so, and it still pulls. Another good F150 tuner is Troyer. Google them.Disclaimer – I still suck wind on good grade hills. With this tune, going through hills, the truck seems to search for the right gear all the time. Flat ground, its smooth, and I can pull the PIV 70/75 no problem. I have the an AirRaid cold air intake, tuner tuned to the 89 octane tow tune, and a covered bed. If I keep her under at or under 70 – solid 13.7/14.4 towing. No boat, no matter what I do, 15.8/16.3. I raced my neighbor with his 12 Eco boost, and we ran neck and neck til about 55- then he had the edge.
