The Pantera Classic, P II and P III are basically evolutions of the 19 foot line up. The Classic is the senior of the group, more along the lines of the original Pantera Pro. The P II evolved with more “bells and whistles” and slightly different layout. Eventually, the P II gave way to the “new” rounded styling of the late 1990s, namely the P III.Each boat had different handling characteristics and the P III had a somewhat deeper hull which gave it great big water capability. The P II was retired as the Pantera line progressed, and as the “modular console” came of age, the P III gave way to the big boy, the P IV. It is the ultimate 19 foot boat that fishes like a 20 foot as the beam forward design gives it the front deck feel of a Puma. The P II was reintroduced in the mid 2000 era as a celebration of their anniversary, with a new style, minus handrails along the top cap. The Classic originally had two long rod boxes, one port, one starboard. The original P II and P III had smaller storage box on the starboard side with an open area directly in front of the driver console. This was for the old style Plano tackle boxes or even an ice chest. Many people build or ordered extended decks to cover this open area, thus making the P II and P III have a full front deck. All have max 200 hp, and ran fine with 150 hp as those were popular in the days of BASS 150 hp limits.Hope this helps some.96 Eyra/12 Mercury 175 Pro XS with 2015 single axle trailer2017 Victory Gunner
