What shade of white is the white gelcoat..????

Hi there Guys..I want to repair a couple of small chips on the bottom of my 08 sabre and was wondering exactly what white do you use on the basscats..???Went to get some flowcoat off a local boatbuilder and he asked me what shade of white is the boat..???? And i said white..lol...He said there are heaps of different types of white gelcoat colours.Guys if you could tell me what white gelcoat you use would be a HUGE help..!!!!!PS:Is flowcoat better to do chip repairs(Cosmetic) or gelcoat...I think its flowcoat but not 100% sure...Thanks Heap.s Guys.....

It is a pure 3000 white with no pigmentation, straight titeknox. BCB

Thanks for your help fellas,Id get it from BassCat but im on the other side of the planet…lol(Australia)I think getting gelcoat sent over here from America to Australia would be an issue with hazardest materials etc(im guessing)Ill see what i can find,Knowing what shade/type(Pure 3000 White) it is helps out heapsCheers Guys….Last edited by OZZY on July 10th, 2010, 1:20 am, edited 1 time in total.

At the very least, e-mail service@basscat.com w/ your serial number so they can verify your white since the color selector shows more then one shade of white (ie, white, opal & Wimbelton white).

OZ I dont know how much shipping to you would be(thats for sure!) but I have had it shipped to me before…Catalyst(a peroxide based liquid) cannot be shipped which is of course required to be mixed with your gelcoat for it to harden.Nice to hear from your neck of the woods as we say here in AR- it summer here and winter there correct?C.O.D. OZZY, You really should be able to get a quart or pint here with no real challenges since it is a pure white. BCB
