On my 2008 Sabre/150HO Etec I was turning a 24p Fury 5850rpms, Wpsi at 15lbs and prop was 3″ below pad. Zoom! That was so much fun back then.
If you have a need for speed you’re gonna chine you way to get there. That is not a boat issue that’s the boat falling off pad and the driver countering it with the steering wheel to keep it on pad. Least how I figured to to get past chine.
Tick, Tock, curious how today’s Etec150HO G2 would spin a larger pitch prop on a SabreFTD. It’s got more torque to spin it. The only way to find out is to do it. Tick, Tock…..
I think this could apply to more torque 4S Merc 175. I have no clue but would be how I would approach it on the new Mercs.
