WHERE YOU GUYS MOUNTING YOUR LSS1 OR LSS2 TRANSDUCERS

I have the detwiler jackplate, and i mounted my xducer to the bottom edge of the plate that mounts to the transom. Starboard side. There was a hole already there. Im pretty sure that is where I mounted it, then again the boat is in storagefor a few more weeks.

Drilled and tapped the SM jackplate for 6MM SS screws, filled the holes with 3M 5200, and installed a SS Transducer Shield and Saver Spring Bracket and included accessories.

I wanted to post photos of the complete install I just completed on my Sabre FTD for an HDS-8 Gen 2 w Structure Scan. Unfortunately, the HDS-8 shipped with a dead NMEA 2000 port, so its headed back to the factory (for $34.00 out of my pocket) to be repaired or replaced. Not a happy camper at this point, but what can I do but wait to get it back. Ill post complete photos later this month. Turned out better than I anticipated after I figured out where to install the Ram Mount on the console.

WHERE YALL GET THOSE BLACK BRACKETS TO MOUNT THEM TO JACKPLATE

Those appear to be Transducer Shield & Saver brand brackets. BCB has them for sale on their parts/accessories page or you can order from any place like Tackle Warehouse, Bass Pro, Cabelas, etc. I mounted mine to the jackplate as well. Simple and clean install to say the least.

Hey period, what the heck kind of transducer is that? Looks like its about 8 inches long???
