We doubt they were the wrong transducers at the time, and that later transducers were manufactured. HumminBird inserted an SI and DI transducer in the boxes, and then continued to ship those as a package after new transducers were offered. Our thoughts is this is HumminBird and those transducers were current at the time. We have an ongoing conversation with HB on this topic and them throwing us under the bus, when they package the parts. This usually starts when you contact Tech Support and they inform you that you have the wrong parts.

What would you call it when the transducers that came with the boat did not work properly but the new ones do?  I could immediately tell that the new transducers were different because they  have different pin patterns than the ones on my boat.  I fooled for a year and countless calls with humminbird trying this and that and software updates trying to get the units to work and finally they sent me the new transducers and problems solved.   Humminbird never “threw you under the bus”during my discussions with them.  They never once placed any blame on Bass Cat or even asked what make boat I had(although maybe they knew from the serial numbers).  So, I guess the answer to my question is that the units were installed at the bass cat factory.

Thank you for that clarity and it is possible that the units were installed here. Though we would divert that to the dealership for information. It is also possible that the units were changed out, though we don’t know exactly and we would have to pair the part numbers up with what we understand are to be with your units. Most any transducers would work as they all interchange if they are Helix units. There are several transducer generations that have been presented for both DI (3) and SI units.

We would like to speak with your dealership on this and have them communicate with their representative for a resolution.
