Why I love the Delta

This is a big weekend. Fruitjar on Saturday morning. Get to air the cat out and hopefully stick a few fish in the live well and dollars in my pocket. Then Saturday afternoon meeting with friends, wives, and kids to boil 30 lbs shrimp, cook steaks, and watch state probably get the hell bet out of them . Then Sunday dove season opens. My oldest son is gonna come hunt with me(hes now 12). The field is a whole five hundred yards from the house. My uncle is coming from Louisiana bringing boudin, 30 slabs of ribs and a pig. Couple hundred people will be here. If youve never been to a delta dove hunt your missing out. Its a celebration. Good times. Its something I look forward to every year kinda sad bc we buried dad a year ago today and he lived for this. Hope to pass it on to my sons. Im Also finding cotton bolls opening up and people are starting to harvest beans and corn which brings my hectic year to a close. Whew almost done! More pics to come

Cool!!!! Our deer archery season starts the last weekend of September, and Im getting the itch!!!!!! Food plots we planted are coming along tree stands are hung and starting to get some good pics. On our cameras. I still have the privilege of hunting with my father he is the best hunting buddy Ive ever had and I cant imagine doing it without him. Sorry for youre recent loss.
