An industry wide procedure that is a bit perplexing. Unlike the auto industry the marine vehicle repair manuals are very rare. The availability of repair facilities for specific marine manufacturers is sparse and speratic to say the least.

A basic level wiring diagram/color code from a manufacturer with add-ons section would be so very helpful.

There must be a reason why the manufacturer does not make a wiring diagram available to owners.

Just having a basic color code would help and save so many useless hours tracing wires and colors.

On the quality of a service manual, Ford builds over 130,000 F series trucks alone in one month. The entire Bass Boat industry is truly under 10,000 Boats total, when multi species and bay boats are removed from the HIN registrations. The volume does not lend itself to have a Chilton’s style “service manual” even for the largest selling model in the business, which might be around 500 single boats in the model.

They are working on wire diagram art, though these are very rudimentary at this time. The color codes for items could be easily printed and we will get those details if we can get them pinned down. As for dim lights we don’t know the cause and that one is rare, we lean to the LED string itself usually.

Its the outside transom led light it just barely glows now it did work at one time. It is not bright enough to see anything even in the dark. I took delivery 16th of February of  my Eyra and it is now only 5 months since then and  I would of thought it would of lasted longer than this before having trouble with some of the compartment lights and the transom light. Its over a 200 miles round trip to the dealer for them to repair them and if I would have to leave the boat or they have to order parts, well it all adds up. Thought if I had a wiring diagram I could trace the wiring and find a loose wire, bad wire connector not crimped right could save $$ on fuel to dealer. Did find improperly crimped terminals on the Bass Cat light under the console after it quit working. So there’s a history of improperly crimped wiring terminals and I suspect there’s more to be found as time goes and other electrical problems arise. A wiring diagram sure would be helpful. There’s got to be shop drawings surly they are not wired by memory only.

Being there is a new pad used on the premium model boats, 2 different small pads, and the advantage series pad, I guess the question should be, which pad?

Color codes are consistent through the brand. There are limited double uses and some wires which refer to different items on engines and boats, thus are duplicated. Wire codes are also inconsistent between engine brands.

they have made some color adaptations on older models.

Thanks for the wiring colour coding.

Having a standard to go by is so helpful.  No matter the model or year the same colours used throughout makes trouble shooting a lot easier.
