Took my 2016 Cougar with 250 SHO out last week and my Digital Speedometer isnt working. I had to remove the batteries to install the Power Pole pumps and Im wondering if something now has to be reset. I have read the manual and have done everything it says and still not working. Do these tie into the Lowrance unit or where does it get its GPS connection from? Ive only had the boat a little over a month but its 6 hours back to the dealer so trying to avoid that trip. Not sure if this is something I could take it back to BassCat for or not. Im new to running a BassCat and not sure what their policy is for bringing it back to the factory is. Im only 3 hours from Mt. Home so that would be alot better than taking it back to the dealer.
No, these are tied to GPS and removing the batteries cleared the settings. Just go into the depth finder (graph) and turn on the GPS output or NMEA output in 0186.
Thanks for the reply. I went into the Lowrance settings and made some changes to the GPS output and now the GPS icon is showing on the speddometer again. Going to the lake in the morning to try it out.
