In addition to what Phil said, first if your friend is considering a Ranger I’d be very interested in the dealer he’s working with. New boats are great but considering the $$$ involved you need a good support platform in the event you need help. In our not too distant past there has been a lot of bad press regarding transom issue, Ranger’s “Ride” system and so on! Ranger “is” a good boat but not like it was in their past, and certainly not the boat Basscat “is”, Good luck !!
