just got done with it.first and foremost you must have the cables to each unit whatever model# and have the most recent software in them BOTH !! i have a 998ci at the wheel and a 788c up front. READY TO GO FISHING!!!!

go look at the interlink box and see if the cables are connected from your units.they were not on mine.maybe this is why both of my units 998si and 788c updates went ok with SEPARATE updates.plugged in the cables and interlink acknowledged both.it sounds as though something else is going on as depth readings should not be affected.INTERLINK is only designed to share WAYPOINTS as i have researched
