I went down the same road only Ivan was my tour guide and a test drive of his boat on a windy October 1991 day at Bull Shoals convinced me that this was the boat for me, you know, it is too bad that most fisherman and fisherwoman do not know what it means to own or run a Bass Cat, they just dont realize what they are missing. My 23yr old P II is in better condition than my 56yr old body. It is also faster and more efficient today than is was when it was new, continuous upgrades and minor tweeks along the way have made this boat a real joy to own especially on days that the wind blows hard and the other MFGs 21rs follow in your wake to the ramp, been there many times. When I moved to bigger water it took a nasty 40mph wind and 15 mile boat ride to convince me that I should move to a bigger boat, only a Bass Cat of course, shopped for nearly a year before finding a 99 Jaguar I could live with. some major adjustments and a 24 fury has this ole 225 EFI Haulin the mail, 72@6K Rpm, unfortunately that is 4mph slower than my P II, maybe the Jag just needs a little more TLC. I would like to thank Bass Cat Boats for their attention to the maintenance areas of there boats they are so much easier to work on than most of the others and not many people realize that feature.
