Since I fish in Illinois alot, the requirement for a second attachment is new news. Does anyone know if the rear tie downs qualify as a second attachment- or must it be in the front? Also, what would be my gross towing weight for a 2003 Classic with a 200 Opti- is it over 3000 lbs? I had this figured before and think it is in the 3000 to 3200 lb range.

Our local university has a bass fishing team. I ran into a couple of their fishermen at a recent tourney and they had awesome shirts. Turns out they are from Gemini and their shirt is on the Gemini website. St. Ambrose University fishing team. Their shirts will run $120 plus shipping with a 3 week turnaround. I would want to be careful about customizing anything- They have many base backgrounds to choose from.

Judd,Why does you neighbor have that nice brick house with a big section of it in siding?? Did they run out of brick or did they use that section to move something big to the second level?By the way- awesome rig- I would have filled in the bolt with silver and made the boot black- the red looks cool too!

Fixed it!!! It was a loose connection- but it still doesnt explain why the turn signal worked- its the same path of current???? I checked the power at the tow vehicle connection and had power when the brake was pressed. So I started rechecked my connection at the trailer- plug and unplug- then Wah-Lah- there was power and a brake light.

Danny,I mainly fish 9, 12, 13, and 14 pools. Have a good friend that fishes 19 really, really well. Won his federation classic last year there. By first of October, the pads and other main weeds will likely be gone. Fish will be relating to ditches with timber and deep water access from the backwaters to the main channel. I will pull my old map out a give it a look over- give me a call on my cell and I can talk with you regarding a few areas for the fall. 563-340-7938.Good Luck,Tim- Long Grove, IA

You are correct Maddoxbav!! Greg is a die-hard bass fisherman. This was his first trip to Fork and all he could say afterwards was “When are we going again?” Greg is my cousin and we grew up together back in the Peoria, IL area. He is the lead guitarist for Mudvayne and also his new side project with Vinnie Paul of Pantera, called HellYeah.

Yes, Chad Gray of Hellyeah is also the lead singer for Mudvayne. Chad and Greg teamed up with Vinnie Paul of Pantera/Damage Plan and Tom Maxwell of Nothingface to form Hellyeah. Pretty Cool

Based on your posted numbers of 6100 rpm and 67 mph, you prop slip looks really high (18%+). With a normal prop slip range of 10-12%, you should be hitting 72+ mph. I also run a 2003 classic and a 2000 Merc Opti 200. I run a 24 Trophy and average 70-71.5 mph loaded. My prop slip is in the 9% range- plus I run my engine a little lower to improve holeshot and bow lift. I am at around 3.4 in below the pad. However, I have had my prop worked a little to increase cup and the efficiency improved for me. I am wondering if you have your motor a little high as this can hurt your prop efficiency and also hurt holeshot. If those rpms are true- then your prop is really slipping. You just may have a bum prop- no two are the same. Or your motor just may be a little low on power as they also are not all the same. My 2000 Opti is definitely not as strong as the new ones. Good Luck

I had heard about this method somewhere- dont remember- but it worked well for me. I found a crayon with a matching color and used it to fill the scratch area. I then used a rag to remove the crayon wax from around the scratch. I then waxed the area using Mequiers Flagship and it worked really well. It was a scratch that was very easy to see before and now I have a hard time seeing it. Cheap, easy, wont hurt anything. I too was leary of using hi-speed buffers, etc.
