Test: Cape Fear
I have been monitoring Impact, Bass Boat Central and Bass Fishing Home Page. I am hoping to find something in the Carolinas, Georgia or Virginia. I live in eastern N.C. about 80 miles from the coast. It is a pretty good haul from here to the Mississippi, Texas and Arkansas area where most of the boats are listed. I sure one will become available with the features and colors in the near future. We just have to put more Cats on the water in the southeast area. Thanks for the input everyone. Cape Fear
NAPA carries Truck Lite products. Cape Fear
I have looked at your site on a regular bases and I will give you a call on the boat that you are listing. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up that there is a potential buyer in the market with the new models coming out soon. My next boat will definitely be a cat.
I looked at their site and see where they have a 09 & 05 P4 listed. I am looking for a single console because of the extra room it provides over the dual. I will call them today and get some more info on the boats that they have.
I did call Richard yesterday and looked at your boat. I am trying to find a 07 or 08 with low hours. I do like the colors on your boat.
Lasabre,I am located in Hope Mills which is located outside of Fayetteville and Ft. Bragg. I am located about 75 east of Sutton Lake in Wilmington. I cut my fishing teeth on the Cape Fear River about 45 years ago. I still fish it and the Northeast Cape Fear several times a year. I fish a lot of skinny water in some of the lakes and rivers of eastern NC. I had read that the PIV will draft shallow for a boat its size as well as handle the big water.
I shouldhave said I am 75 West of Sutton Lake. To the east would put me in the Atlantic Ocean. LOL!
The one on my new P4 is not working at all so it will need to be replaced. I am going to sell the 3 bank charger with my old boat when I get it sold.
BCB,Look at the topic I posted Battery Problem or something else and it will explain why I am looking at voltage draw. I am sure in the armed state it is minimal draw, but I am trying to rule every possibility out.
Yep, thats the one. I ordered everthing I thought that I needed last week. When the parts came in yesterday the bungee cord did not have a hook at one end. The ends on the cord were the same. I guess I should have specified the one used as a rod strap for the deck. I will also need the metal latch to put the hook end through. Did you predrill pilot holes before installing the screws?
Kramr,The previous owner of my PIV had a velcro rod strap on one side and a bungee style on the other. I am not sure why he went with this set up. I have always used the velco strap on my previous boats.
Lumbeejake,I know you were asking to look at my P4 when I got. Well its home now and you are welcome to come by and have a look. It is the only P4 in eastern NC that I know of. Not a lot of cats in these parts, but there will be plenty before long. Shoot me a e-mail at wcwhite@nc.rr.com and we will hook up. That is a sharp looking boat that Chris has for sale.William
That was it. I just wasnt turning it past that detent. I was stopping it when it felt like it had come to a stop. Thanks for the link as well. I figured out the timing sequence using the livewells this weekend.
This was a very good post BCB to the new members of the family such as myself. This answered several of my questions as well as other members this week. It would be great if you could pin it to the top of the FAQ board as I am sure it will be asked again. It will be great to refer back to when it is time to clean out the spray bar.
