I tried weighing out the difference between a slow steer(as I have been told) compared to all the other options the Ipilot with link has to offer. I personally think it would be great to have it follow a contour or set depth by communicating with the hummingbird fish finder without having to mess with the trolling motor. More time to concentrate on fishing!!! If I dont like it I still have the old MotorGuide on the shelf. I am hoping the newer motors are upgraded with faster turning.

I am thinking the spot lock would also come in handy if you have to go in close to get a hang up undone hit spotlock button so the boat doesnt drift ashore or into a dock or tree while you are trying to get unhooked. just a thought

I am running a 25p Trophey plus 4 blade at about 5400. would a 24p put me in that 5700 range?
