Thanks! Im looking at putting it on the right side of the console, but the left side might work out okay. Im afraid in rough water the mount will let it bounce on the gunnel. I wish I had a rail to mount it to. Narrow gunnels and the retractable cleat are what have me undecided.

Rick, I came out of a Tr186 into a Sabre FTD. Night and day difference in ride. The storage is much better and usable, but the ride is so much better. Once you get the boat and run it, youll see and it will take a little bit of time to realize you can run through rougher waves and ride smoother and drier. You are going to love it, congrats!

Year model is 2010, 150 ProXS. Just wondering about it. I have been playing with the plate to get the best all around performance and wondered about the 4 blade. I ran my plate higher on my Triton and I was just thinking the 4 blade might let you run it higher. I am running a 23 pitch Tempest currently. I have a spare 23 I probably need to get worked on or I thought about trading it for a 4 blade if the Sabre liked them. Just wondering out loud…….Thanks, Dennis S.

Phil, One thing that might help is to go to the sonar setup on the menu and take the depth off of auto. Set it to just a little deeper than the area or lake you will be fishing. This helped mine from jumping around. Hope this helps……..Dennis S.

I dont know if this will help but it helped mine. My Minn Kota is a Maxxum Pro, not a Fourtrex. I think the Fourtrex has a ground wire running from inside the foot to the head that grounds it. It is supposed to have a fuse. Sometimes it will get corroded and willl not ground properly. Mine did not have this ground wire, so I drilled a small hole in the skeg of my trolling motor foot and attached a small wire which I ran along side my transducer cable and I attached it to the negative terminal of my trolling motor receptacle. I used a small screw to attach the terminal to the skeg and coated it with liquid electrical tape. I also ran a small ground wire from my trolling motor battery (#1) negative post to my starting battery negative post. I now have no interference issues at any speed. From what I understand this doesnt always work, but it has worked like a charm for me. I have an LCX28hd that the screen would completely go out. Now the trolling motor never phases it at all. Good luck and keep us posted on what works.

I would try a 23 Tempest Plus. With 2 people here in the summer time I can get 62 gps with mine. I have the 150 ProXS. I havent played with the jp setting much more. By myself I have seen 64.7.

Any ideas on a different prop? What about the rear end kicking to the side.

To me it sounds like you might need to adjust the settings on the unit. I always thought the transducer breaking free will not give a reading, kind of like the unit on the trailer and out of the water. Try putting in a depth limit that is several feet over the deepest water you fish in the manual settings and see if this helps. I thought the sensitivity wasnt as good as it could (couldnt see my dropshot) be so I added a trolling motor transducer to mine. Hope this helps. I though BBC glassed in the transducer so I cant imagine it breaking free.

Great time to add a recirc/ pumpout combo pump. I would check the flowrite website and set it up as per their instructions. A recirc is very helpful in keeping fish alive. Should be easy to install, you wont have to access the fill pump. The pumpout pump will mount on the back of the livewell itself. Hope this helps…….Dennis S.
