This is why I love this forum and why I bought a BASSCAT! Nowhere else will you get this kind of owner interaction or manufacture support. Ive already determined from these posts that previous owner accidentally mounted the straps with buckle reversed (along the port/starboard side vs towards center of boat). Ill play with locating straps both ways and see which is best (before I tap more holes). Only concern is that with 7+ rods, am concerned mounting on lid will secure them too far down the rod away from the reel (where the weight) is and not be as secure. Adding bungees is a great idea! I bought this boat for a great price and have already put more than $4k into it (new HB SI/DI front and rear, new decals, new TM, new tires, on and on) but love it! When not fishing, hanging out in the garage with brown water fiddling around with the boat and tackle is almost as good. Plan to continue to upgrade and baby this boat over next year or two and then buy a new Eyra or Puma (Jag wont fit in my garage ). Thanks again for the insight! Any other ideas are welcomed!
I had the exact same problem on my 04 pantera. Had new MG TR82 and added 798 si up front and 898 on console. SI on bow would get interference anytime I engaged TM. Contacted HB and they sent me a choke (PN: TMC 1) and upgraded my transducer from the standard XNT-9-SI-180-T to the XTM 9 HDSI 180 T all free of charge (go to HBs website and you can look these components up). Works like a charm. Dont know if it was the choke or the transducer that fixed it, and dont want to change either as now it works as advertised whether TM is engaged or not.

Greg Cooper may not be on pro-staff or officially sponsored, but he is definitely BCB strong and currently T-17. Saw a lot of BCB shirts at weigh in online. Good luck to all the BCB family members!
Flyswatter, I had same product on my MG TR82 and it worked great. Had to take it off though when I added a HDSI transducer and transducer shield…really need to relook and see if I can modify to add it back….really a noticeable difference in hydrilla!
Seems like a lot of stress to put on those fish to drive from G down to Bham for weigh in. Will they drive them back to G for release or release them in another lake? Seems like a high mortality rate is inevitable…what do you guys think?Being a Huntsville resident, would certainly have loved to see them use the Von Braun Center for weigh in which is a shorter drive.
Thank you! Great boat that I have really enjoyed and put a lot of upgrades on but ready to move on to an Eyra. Will make someone a great deal when ready.
As requested, added pix of seats under profile. Can email to those who have problems accessing.
CassbassI installed one on a 2004 classic so not sure if exactly the same for a P II BUT, on mine the center seat was secured by rivets to the seat pan. On a classic the fuel tank is underneath the seat pan so I removed it to be safe. Simple to do with screws. Then simply drilled out rivets, removed center seat. Riveted center console in place and secured seat pan in place. Nice fit between seats.

Bump for a great boat. Ive had the pleasure of fishing in this boat and choo choo keeps it show room clean and all over it on maintenance. You have to check out the tournament edge warranty package he is transferring…covers everything in the boat so no risk.
ABSOLUTELY get the flipping deck! Install=drop in, as sturdy as regular deck. See pix in my profile under Pantera Classic photos. I had one on my previous BassCat and after a while never took it out. Beauty is the flexibility to remove when you dont want it. Major advantage is when you have a co-angler…dramatically increases deck space if you want to fish 2 up front. Best part is the additional storage you gain! My co-angler could easily slide his tackle bag underneath leaving your back boxes open for other items. Cooler storage does require you to go through another door, but how many times during the day do you access your cooler? Minor inconvenience at worst. Remember you dont have to permanently bolt it in. Parts can provide retaining straps with snaps to allow easy removal. IM me if you have any more questions…you will love it.
